Meghan + Eric – The Sunflower

Jul 27
2011

Instead of me rambling on about fate or how Meghan and Eric originally met, I thought I’d point you in the right direction. Truly serendipitous the way the story unfolds. Thankfully one of the photographers (Claire Elyse Photography) covered it for me here you can also check out the amazing photos from the day.

Meghan + Eric are a beautiful couple. They have big hearts and such kind spirits… They are such a perfect couple and are absolutely meant to be with each other. I wish them all the best in the years to come.

All of the guest and parents (Jan) of the bride and groom were all so gracious and friendly to us. Inviting us to sit with them at their tables, was beyond kind. They invited us in like we were part of the family. Maybe this dates back to “southern hospitality” seeing as they are from Louisiana, but my guess is that they are all just beautiful people inside and out.

Kelly + Nick – A Great Joy

Jul 19
2011

This particular wedding took place at The Pinery down in Black Forest near Colorado Springs. The day started out quite hot and sunny, but right as the ceremony was approaching, clouds rolled in and the wind picked up. Thankfully the rain never came and all stayed well with the world.

Lets talk plainly though. This is Love. As detailed and extravagant as I could try to make this post, it’s quite simple. Kelly and Nick are so perfect for each other in every way. It’s a beautiful moment when two people connect the way this couple did. Completely at ease with the pressure of the day, not a care in the world except for each other. It was one of those weddings where when I left, I felt inspired and hopeful for the world at which we live. Love still exists all around us.

Thank you to everyone involved, especially Johnathan Betz Photography for working with us in such a cooperative and great way! It really makes all the difference. Nick and Kelly, have a long happy life together! Enjoy the video below… much more to come!

For anyone that’s curious… the song is called “Under Streetlights” by Brooke Annibale. Licensed through themusicbed.com

Nicolette + Florian – Beautiful Day

Jun 29
2011

Nicolette and Florian had a beautiful vision for their wedding day. More specifically they knew exactly what they wanted when they contacted us. It was profound, precise, and extremely descriptive… “Make it Upbeat and Fun!” Now… in my defense I thought all of our films were “Fun!” and I think they are, but they wanted to push it, go all out, to the edge and back.
Now… fast forward a bit to the wedding day in New York. The preparations went smoothly, the ceremony went by fast, and when it came time to dance and celebrate… well that’s exactly what EVERYONE did… at the same time. If you wanted to breathe, you needed to leave the premises. It was such an enjoyable experience and to be a part of this beautiful couples wedding day was just icing on the wedding cake. To meet two people like this only happens once or twice in a lifetime. As described in a toast… it’s a fairytale. They have so much love for each other and such big hearts for everyone around them. I wish them the best in all the years to come.

Note: The photographer makes a cameo if you watch very closely. :)

Christine + Jay – A Masterpiece

May 21
2011

So much to say… this was our 3rd venture into Texas in the past couple of years and without a doubt probably one of my favorites. The weather was beautiful, the locations were all super friendly, and of course the couple was just stunning.

We worked with Amy from Butler Signature Events which was an absolute pleasure. Having a great wedding coordinator should be a necessity… they are PRICELESS. Not just for the planning, schedule, etc. but for the people/vendors also collaborating on the event. (Thank you Amy!)

Christine and Jay were just wonderful to be around. They were completely laid back, really just focused on enjoying the moments. Christine you one of the sweetest people I’ve ever met and Jay… you completely shocked me on the dance floor. Teach me! I wish you both the best and all the happiness in the universe. Amber + Sean – One Cold Day

Feb 15
2011

I remember the first time I spoke to Amber about her wedding. She said that they were flying from California and were going to have their wedding on New Years Eve in Whitefish, MT. I was intrigued to say the least. She then filled me in on the details, such as the reception location, where they were getting ready… etc, but it wasn’t until she delicately threw in there that the ceremony was going to be in Glacier National Park, outside, standing room only, that I was completely sold. I’ll be honest and say I didn’t completely know what I was getting myself into. Two days before the wedding parts of Montana received 2 ft of snow and plummeted into negative degrees. The snow stopped, but the temperature remained the same. I bundled up for the ceremony, stuffed hand warmers everywhere and took my equipment into the wild. I had an absolute blast! Despite not being able to feel my fingers for days after.

Amber & Sean were the couple every cinematographer and photographer love. They were complete naturals around the camera, but most importantly, they were just themselves. They weren’t shy to show how much they loved each other or how much they cared for the people around them. I included an extra clip at the very end of this reel, just because I felt like it matches who they are as a couple. For every beautiful, heartfelt, touching moment, there was Sean and/or Amber doing something that would make us laugh.

In closing, I think by the end of the night, I had received at least 50 thank you’s from Amber & Sean. So now, Its my turn.Thank you both for this wonderful experience and just allowing me to be a part of your special day. I wish you both the best in the years to come.
